I have a new long term extended release medication. Its controlled. I’m not allowed to get it filled until the day before or the day you run out of the current medication.
Guess what, though? (Almost had it hijacked cuz I couldn’t pee.. in the cup)
CVS doesn’t have it and won’t have it, by order, for 2-3 days. None in the area have it.
Umm.. that’s so unacceptable. Make me wait until the last minute and then make me go without. That’s health care for you.
Any non controlled medication must be faxed into the insurance company to be mail ordered.
Last month, one of my pain medications was increased to 6mg, from 4mg. I called the pharmacy to get a refill ordered. They never filled.
I went back to the doctor, the next month and the computer was never increased to 6mg. So I shouldn’t be out, by statistics. Doesn’t matter that I am.
Now I’m looking at the correct order and its all wrong. 1. 4mg 1. 2mg twice a day, 90 day supply #60! #60 is for a 30 day supply! So now the faxed rx is wrong and I’m still going without.
I have 17 Prescriptions. 3 are Vitamins not available over the counter, that insurance doesn’t cover at all. Oh and btw, one of my co-pays is supposed to be $180 for ONE. Someone is on crack thinking that is going to happen around here and let’s hope they never run out of samples because its a psych drug and no one needs me off the psych drugs.
I called them on the phone and they can probably fix it because its not a controlled substance, but all of this waiting for medication is ridiculous.
IF they would give me traditional named narcotics, there would be no trouble getting it, like it is all over for others I see, who don’t even need it. Those that have moved to the dark side.
There is something seriously wrong in this world.
I can’t use Walgreen’s anymore. I can’t take Lyrica for my Fibromyalgia. All because my insurance company says I can’t. Even though my doctor says I should.
Who is running Obamacare anyway? I think I’m starting to hear the voices… they’ve warned me about this..
